PSA: How the DA’s Office Helps Victims of Crime

Crime can touch anyone. But everyone has the right to receive help, guidance and assistance from the District Attorney’s Office after being the victim of a crime.

This Public Service Announcement (PSA) from the Alameda County Distirct Attorney’s Office focuses on how our Victim-Witness Assistance Division can help if you have been a victim of crime.

The Victim-Witness Assistance Division can help provide you with support and resources to help you during this difficult time. Our Consultants can help with everything from applying for emergency expenses from the California Victim Compensation Program to counselling. They will also be by your side for each of the court appearances for your case. Our Consultants are trained to be your caring guide as your case winds through the criminal justice system.
