Pregnancy Complications
Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful parts of a female’s life but many times small problems can create high risks for the pregnant lady and the to-be-born baby. Pregnancy problems these days have become a usual thing for almost every woman and these problems seem to be destroying the original charm of pregnant periods which a female should actually be enjoying. Infections in body, some chemicals, or some kind of radiations can lead to defects in birth (teratogens) for a female’s body. Complications will pop up at any time during pregnancy or might be after pregnancy. Even the child might suffer with these problems.
Ectopic pregnancy is one of the most commonly known pregnancy related complications which is found these days in women. This happens if a fertilized egg plants itself outside the uterus inside the female body. Ectopic pregnancy is also known as tubal pregnancy as in many cases the fertilized egg settles down in the fallopian tube. Slowly as the egg grows, it will damage the organs around it and this is what causes pregnancy complications. This might result into severe bleeding and can also be dangerous for the pregnant lady. No ectopic pregnancy will ever develop into a live birth.
Some of the possible problems which a pregnant lady might suffer from are:
Anemia
Anemia pops up in pregnant women if they are suffering from iron deficiency. A normal human body might not need heavy iron but a pregnant body will require double iron when compared to normal human. Iron is the necessary part which creates RBCs in the fetus. Iron deficiency occurs due to less amount of folic acid in your body and this can be treated by consuming folic acid and iron supplements during pregnancy. These will provide your body with the necessary iron content and will keep you away from anemia.
Gestational Diabetes
Diabetes which occurs during the period of pregnancy is called as gestational diabetes. Researches have proved that around 1% to 3% of the pregnant females suffer from gestational diabetes. If this goes undetected during pregnancy then there are high chances of pregnancy complications and there is a high risk that the fetus might die. This kind of diabetes has been found in some ethnic women like: Indians, Mexicans, Native Americans, Asian descent, and Pacific Islanders. Gestational diabetes can possibly cause thyroid related problems too. Usually blood tests are done regularly to measure sugar level of pregnant ladies in order to detect gestational diabetes.
Placental Abruptions
When the placenta detaches from the wall of uterus before the set time period then the phenomenon is called as placental abruption. In such a case the placenta might be lost totally or partially. This kind of pregnancy complications is mostly found in ladies with high blood pressure. Any other cause for this kind of complication is yet to be discovered and research is still being done. It is always recommended to regularly see your doctor so as to avoid any kind of pregnancy complications.
